OUR STORY

More than a spirit.
A continuation of heritage.

Founded by Amen Lawson, Kappa Royale is a bridge between worlds — where ancestral knowledge meets contemporary craftsmanship.

FOUNDER STORY

Amen Lawson

"Amen Lawson is a Togolese American immigrant, a lover and caretaker of ancestral traditions, and the visionary behind Kappa Royale."

Born from a deep connection to heritage and identity, his journey reflects a commitment to preserving and elevating the cultural legacy of West African craftsmanship. His inspiration comes from Sodabi, the traditional palm-based spirit of Togo, long cherished in local communities for generations.

Rather than reimagining tradition, he chose to honor it.

Kappa Royale was created with a clear purpose: to elevate Sodabi beyond its regional familiarity and position it within the global landscape of premium spirits. Through careful refinement, modern production standards, and a respect for origin, Amen Lawson set out to present a spirit that stands confidently alongside the world's most recognized luxury cognacs and distilled expressions.

This is not a departure from tradition.

It is its evolution.

Kappa Royale reflects a bridge between worlds — where ancestral knowledge meets contemporary craftsmanship, where heritage is not preserved in memory alone, but carried forward in every bottle.
